My Dear Mister Phillip,

I am sorry for not writing back sooner. I am currently traveling with the Olympic torch as it makes its way around the world, eventually ending up in China. My company built the torch for China, so I have to travel with it to make sure it works okay. We just left Argentina, where it was very cold and there was a lot of ice. Here is a picture of me trying to warm things up a little using the lighter we invented to light the Olympic torch when it goes out. It's also good for getting rid of those smelly protesters and baby harp seals.

Now we are on to Dar es Salaam, which is in some damn country called Tanzania. At least it supposed to be warm there. I hope the Motel 6 is nice. Is Tanzania anywhere near Ghana? I sure would like to meet you. Maybe you could come to Tanzania. I'll be there on Monday.

Anyway, your proposal has me rigid with excitement. I am ready and eager to proceed. I look forward to a long and profitable relationship and lots of good cheer.

You got your problems, I got mine. I told you I was going to be traveling with the Olympic torch until it gets to Beijing, China. I will be away from the Institute until August 26th. But I think I figured out a way to get this thing done. But first let me tell you about my awful travels.

We were only in Tanzania for only a couple of days. It was shit. Just look at the motel they stuck us in.

Then they served us some kind of scorpion stew swill for dinner and I got sick and threw up. I'm never going back to Tanzania again. I sure wish I could have gone to Ghana to visit with you, but the tour guide said no fooking way, holms. I don't even know what that means.

After we left Tanzania we went to Oman. It was damned hot and it smelled like rotting carp. Now we are traveling on a wretched bus full of sinners on our way to Pakistan. If I don't get some Mickey D's real soon I'm going to start losing weight and develop a goiter or something.

I am sorry to burden you with my problems. Like you, I want to complete this transaction as soon as possible, to our mutual benefit. I fear and loath the fact that all this travel is making it so difficult to communicate in a timely and efficient manner. We have no internet access most of the time, and my cell phone hasn't worked since we left San Francisco. I don't think full-duplex has been invented here yet.

Poor Willie lost his hearing in a kiln explosion during his college days several years ago. You can trust Willie, so please feel free to give him all the details of the transaction. If Toby does not answer, it means that Toby is not within range of proper cell service. Try your call again in an hour. We have tested this with great success, and we hope it makes reaching Toby somewhat easier during his travels.

As a side note both Toby and I have tried to call your telephone number at least forty times. We both get nothing but a clicking and buzzing sound, which, to me sounds like the howling of heathens swirling in the backwash of human society. I suggest you call your local telephone repair representative to correct this problem.

I know Toby is quite eager to speak with you about very important and confidential matters of which I am not privy. I hope this aids in your efforts.
